Tell us a bit about yourself and your blog

Hi there! We are Nadia & Mike. We write the travel blog Couple Travel The World. The blog is designed to help couples travel for longer and smarter.

Like many couples, we like comfortable & private accommodation (you wont meet us in a dorm bed). We do enjoy a bit of luxury & pampering. A cruise or two never goes astray! We once cruised for 50 nights from San Diego to Rio de Janeiro. 

In saying this, we also love authentic experiences such as camping and getting close to nature. We are happy to ‘rough it’ for a few nights for a good adventure. Some of our most memorable travel experiences have been visiting the Amazon Jungle and the Uyuni Salt Flats. 

How did you get started with your blog/business?

We decided to study a master’s abroad. While we were studying we would take weekend trips. These trips started getting longer and we started document our journeys via our travel blog: coupletraveltheworld.com

What is your favorite travel app and why?

Instagram of course! You can look up the next place you are visiting so easily by a hash or geo tag and find all the best places in the area. We are hope to assist other people’s adventures through our own Instagram account @coupletraveltheworld.

How do you find good deals for traveling? 

Our favourite travel sites are the old faithful booking.com & skyscanner. We love these platforms because they are super user friendly and you can always find deals to help you travel for longer while still staying in comfortable places.

What are your packing essentials?

We love being able to capture the beauty of destinations through photography. For this reason our packing essentials include our DLSR camera, a Mavic Pro drone and a smart phone. Nadia cannot live without her GHD hair straightener so we will add that to the list!

How do you discover fun things to do in new places you travel to?

One of the reasons we started our travel blog is that blogs are a vital source of information for fun things to do in travel destinations. As others have helped & inspired us, we wanted to give back and assist other travel with the best things to do in places we have been.

Aside from travel blogs, Instagram, pinterest & tripadvisor never go astray when researching fun things to do!

What is your next travel destination and what do you have planned so far?

 One unique thing about us is we never plan too far in advance. We are traveling in the Philippines at the moment and the next place on our list is Cebu. One activity on our bucket list is swimming with whale sharks so we hope to fulfil this dream while we are here.
